Can chopping down a tree save the world?

Little boy Wu Gang always wants to take the easy way out and get something for nothing. The dream he has of becoming an immortal, which he confides to the moon, unexpectedly brings him to a fantastical land of trials! Here, he meets Jade Rabbit and Chang'e. In order to chop down the evil laurel tree and defeat the Lazy Pig Monster, they are forced to confront their respective fears, cowardice and inferiority complexes. This moon adventure teaches Wu Gang perseverance, transforming him from an escapist into a guardian.

A heartwarming fable about overcoming one's inner demons, the power of companionship, and the attainment of happiness and resilience.
